During the late '80s, Roland dropped the RS-505 Paraphonic : a string machine based on BBD technology, capable of churning out of addictive ensemble sounds with a kind of sizzle to them. The vocoder of the RS-505 is as illustrious as the synth itself, as it technically allowed producers to create fairly convincing choir sounds. Anyway, all of that nostalgic 'sonicality' and more now returns on the form of the XILS Lab XILS V+, which has in fact been equipped with more parameter controls than the original RS-505 so you can do even greater things with it.
